Good morning, Washingtonians! It's time for your local weather update straight from the National Weather Service. I'm here to give you the scoop on what to expect in the coming days.
Overnight, we are looking at showers likely, possibly even a thunderstorm, with cloudy skies and a low around 50. The east wind will be blowing at around 5 miles per hour, and there's a 60% chance of precipitation.
As we roll into Monday, get ready for showers and thunderstorms in the morning, transitioning to isolated showers in the afternoon. High temperatures near 62, with a southeasterly breeze at 5 to 8 miles per hour. The chance of precipitation is high at 80%.
Monday night will bring isolated showers and thunderstorms early on, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm overnight. Rain is expected to continue into Tuesday, with highs near 59 and an 80% chance of precipitation.
Heading into midweek, Tuesday night brings more rain and possibly thunderstorms, with patchy fog rolling in after 9 pm. Wednesday is looking cloudy with rain likely, so keep those umbrellas handy.
By Thursday, we'll see a chance of showers in the morning but expect partly sunny skies with highs around 54. The chance of precipitation drops to 40%.
As we approach the weekend, Friday is looking mostly sunny with highs near 52, and the breezy conditions will continue throughout the day. Saturday and Sunday will bring more sun, with temperatures reaching the mid-60s by Sunday.
