An experimental government chemical accidentally finds its way into the public drinking water of a small town in Iowa, turning it's residents into "Crazies". Sheriff David Dutton (Timothy Olyphant), and his rag tag team set out on a mission to survive, and reveal the truth of what happened to their home town.
