Listen to me geek and gush over the New Jersey Devils with returning guest @hockey_2_blind_2_blindhockey93
We dip back into the regular season to discuss his beloved Devil's very successful year because of players like Jack Hughes, Vitek Vanacek and Captain Nico Hischier.
We then talk this year's round 1 match up with the New York Rangers. The Rangers trounced the Devils to a 2-0 lead in the series to start. Noteble trouncers being Tarensenko and Kreider.
For games 3 and 4, Head Coach Lindy Ruff (um, best name ever?) put in 22 year old goaltender Akira Schmid. Who proved to be the difference maker for the Devils to win twice in MSG. As well as Hughes and Jonas Siegenthaler.
Game 5 and the momentum is back home in Jersey and Josh is hoping for another big win. It won't come easy but maybe Akira Akira will prove that those pads don't lie.
Thanks for the chat and good luck closing out this series!
Also Puckheads, just a reminder to check out @thedentedpuck podcast. #thanksforlistening #blindhockey
