Wizdom The Healer

My name is Benjamin D. James IV. I was born in Washington D.C. My father, Benjamin D. James III, was sick with ALS and passed away when I was 2 years old. Moved to Atlanta, Ga shortly after. It was high school, where I learned my passion for music. I Joined the high school marching band, where I played the drums, and even taught myself the keyboard being around all those musicians. After graduating H.S. I enlisted in the United States Air Force. My job was maintain and fix F 15’s. Shortly after the Air Force, I enrolled at Savannah State University. It was there I found my love for poetry and spoken word. I joined the poetry organization, “word or waiver of discovery”. I was elected president and I began hosting/promoting open mics on campus. Later on I cofounded the group A.M.I. (Affiliated Money Inc) We quickly became a local hit in the Savannah Community. In the future we would open up for entertainment acts such as Chester French gym class heroes Pastor Troy, Lyft Jennings, and Hurricane Chris, just to name a few. After the group disbanded I became the part owner of a recording studio. Currently I am in Atlanta finishing a my first poetry book.
