In this episode I’ll be visiting with Luke Reese at the Jay C. Hormel Nature Center. We are quickly approaching the shortest day of the year, the Winter Solstice. The actual moment of the winter solstice will occur at 3:20 Saturday morning Central time. And then, very slowly, our days start getting longer. However, our coldest days still lie ahead. Luke will explain why it is that we don’t start warming up until much later in the winter.
First, I stop in at the Discover Austin office to visit with Nancy Schnable. As we approach the end of the year Nancy decided to try out some Austin trivia with me. You get to find out just how well I know my Austin trivia.
