Makeda Haughton (“Keda”) is a Jamaican-American educator, world-renowned traveler, and acclaimed author who uprooted her life to teach English in South Korea in 2018. Through her life’s work, Keda has learned the art of embracing change and leaning into your life’s calling, wherever it may take you. Keda's inspiring journey includes founding her own podcast, 'The Sobe Pod,' where she shares stories and lessons with fellow travelers, and publishing the book “Kim Imani: The Girl Made of Magic” about a half-Black, half-Korean girl who moves to South Korea. Through these endeavors and her lifetime of exploration, Keda encourages others to constantly discover more about their own cultures and the diverse world around them.
