There’s a touch of whiplash in September. Fortunately, it’s the good kind. The kind that makes you realize that hindsight really is 20/20.

See, we have two planets going direct - Venus and Mercury - and one going retrograde - Jupiter. Two beats one, so let's consider this a lucky break. Having the planet of love and the planet of communication go awry is, well, a lot for anyone. Not only have we been stumbling over our own toes when it comes to anything relationship orientated, but our tongues have also been tied up in knots. And so, darlings, we’ve been walking around with quite the handicap, and in retrospect, any mistakes we’ve made, have simply been par for the course. Hopefully, by the 3rd and 15th respectively, the dates when Venus and Mercury are up to their usual speed, our words will start flowing once again and we’ll have a better sense of what (and who!) we love, value and desire. Phew. What a ride, right?

Jupiter’s retrograde motion on the 4th isn’t a biggie. We don’t need to panic about this one. These slow-moving cosmic bodies go retrograde on the regular. All this signifies a slowing down of the growth we’ve been enjoying in any particular area of our life, depending on where Guru Jupiter has been transiting in your personal chart. Take it all in, Savor it.

What makes September most special, however, is the fact that it’s Equinox, darlings. Yes, it's a whole new Sun season - every month is - but Equinox comes only twice a year. On the 23rd, we welcome, with open arms, the magnificence of Autumn in the Northern Hemisphere, and the flowery goodness of Spring in the South. It’s a turning point. We’re either gearing down, or gearing up. What is it for you? What can you do to make Nature’s Seasonal marker special? Think about setting an intention. Doing a ritual. Dancing under the moonlight. Casting a spell. You get the idea.

As if to add to all the excitement, our New Moon in Virgo on the 14th is simply perfect for setting out to be healthier, more productive and better organized. And the Full Moon in Aries on the 29th shows us just how conducive our actions have been since the New Moon in Aries several months ago.

Last, but not least, as Lady Venus goes direct, she brushes past Jupiter and Uranus with the last of three squares, on the 17th and 30th respectively. Tone down those impulses, dalrings. Sure, you may crave a final showdown, but is it really worth it?
