After taking office, George Washington sensed a bit of trouble. Our recently unified country was on the brink of falling apart into 13 individual pieces. Something had to be done, and as usual, he stepped up. His strategy, giving the citizens a chance to see him, and giving him a chance to see the citizens. Months and miles went by, and like so many times before, the Great General ultimately found success, sparking a national unity that had seemed impossible.
