Bend Magazine's The Circling Podcast with Adam Short

On episode #12, I have the pleasure of talking with long time central Oregonian and founder of Street Dog Hero Marianne Cox. Marianne shares her experience growing up in a military family, moving to Central Oregon with her husband to open JC’s Bar and Grill and starting a nonprofit which has grown into more than a full-time job. Street Dog Hero, an international dog adoption organization, is just over 4.5 years old, and has placed nearly two thousand dogs in loving homes all over the country, many in Central Oregon. In addition to adoption placement, Street Dog Hero is heavily invested in helping to control dog population in the countries with which it has developed relations by hosting local spay and neuter clinics. If the mission of Street Dog Hero is to help street dogs around the world by providing transportation, medical treatment, adoption placement, awareness and education, then I’d say, “Nice job Marianne, you and your team continue to complete the mission every day!”
