2019 hearalds more focus on Black births. The time of generalization is over. These podcasts will now focus in on Black births as "Case Studies." Each case study will foucs on the specifics and the solutions with the expert special guest contributing. The first show special guest is with Michelle Gabriel-Caldwell as she discusses why the omission of African American in research titles and articles is necessary. Michelle is a Certified Doula and CBE with AAHCC (The Bradley Method) with over 12 years of experience. She is a recent EBB (Evidence Based Birth) Instructor for which she received a full scholarship. Michelle continued her studies to include the Inaugural EBB Childbirth Classes and is currently pursuing PAIL advocacy. As a passionate advocate for black women's voices, she is a founding member of the National Association of Black Doulas, member of the Perinatal Health Equity Foundation and an Administrator for the NJ Doulas of Color FB Page. As the Doula Coordinator and CBE Instructor for The Birth Center of NJ she provides leadership and mentorship. While becoming a formidable birth professional, she maintains her fulltime career as an applied technology specialist for a German Based company with degrees in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and travels the world.
