Presenting the first episode of a collaboration between Doctors Who Create and Equal Treatment, a medical educational platform that brings awareness to health care issues involving race, immigration, and underserved populations. In this episode, we interview Dr. Oanh Nguyen at UCSF about the implications of adverse health outcomes and costs in undocumented immigrant population with end-stage renal disease. Thanks to Amanda Labora and Hattie Huston-Paterson for conducting this interview and to Shiv Nadkarni for producing it, to our podcast leads, Shiv and Darlina, and the band Night Float and AShamaluevMusic for providing our music. For further reading on this topic, please find Dr. Nguyen's JAMA article at https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/30575859.
