We are delighted to have Dr. Christina Radics joining us from Malaga, Spain, today.

Christina shares thought-provoking posts on LinkedIn, offering deep and meaningful information and conducting insightful polls. She has also written a book that will be coming out soon. We read the first chapter last week, and it was most impressive!

Christina grew up in a multicultural household in Sweden, where she learned to adapt to different personalities but also experienced the strain of constant arguments between her parents. As a result, she developed perfectionistic tendencies and a desire to please others. She initially wanted to become a psychologist but settled for dentistry because it offered more stability. However, she found dentistry triggering due to its demand for perfection.

Moving to Spain and juggling work with family life, Christina neglected her mental well-being, eventually leading her to the brink of burnout. She is now on a mission to raise awareness about the warning signs of burnout and the importance of self-awareness in maintaining mental health.

Join us as we navigate Christina’s fascinating journey and powerful insights.

Show Highlights:

  • Christina explains how her stressful childhood led her to perfectionism
  • Christina shares her struggles with burnout
  • How childhood trauma can lead to emotional numbness
  • Why dentistry can be a challenging profession
  • Why dentistry professionals must prioritize their self-care
  • How burnout is a prevalent issue within the dental profession
  • Christina discusses a course she attended on becoming happier dentists
  • How to shift from burnout to joy in dentistry
  • How Christina’s upcoming book aims to provide dentists facing burnout with a sense of community and resilience
