Today we are discussing the 2024 Annual Threat Assessment produced by the United States Intelligence Community. This report details the most pressing threats to U.S. national security during the next year, and it covers a wide range of issues including state actors, transnational issues, and non-state actor issues. The report highlights threats posed by China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea, and it also addresses challenges posed by global terrorism, transnational organized crime, and the spread of disruptive technologies. The report ultimately emphasizes the fragile global order, accelerating strategic competition, intense transnational challenges, and multiple regional conflicts that the United States must navigate.
