Today’s episode is a heavy but necessary one. Whether it be the loss of a loved one, the end of a relationship, struggling with an illness, or any other number of things, grief is one of those things that we don’t want to think about and we often try to hide from. But the truth is it’s something we will all deal with in some form or another at some point in our lives.

We all know there are several stages of processing grief and it can affect us mentally, emotionally, and physically. While learning how to work through our grief is universal, not everyone has to do it while running a business at the same time. Which is why this is an extra important conversation.

I greatly appreciated Jessica’s vulnerability in sharing her own story of how she navigated grief last year when her mother was diagnosed with and ultimately passed away from cancer. She reminds us that although you may be a CEO or a business owner, at the end of the day first and foremost, you are human and you are not alone.

We talk about

  • Balancing work and life while grieving
  • Different types of grief
  • Different ways to process
  • How to support someone who is grieving
