Have you ever tried a particular diet like Whole 30, Keto, or one where you have to buy all your food from one company? And it worked. You felt better. For a while. But when you stopped the intensity, so did the benefits. And you’re in a funk again. That probably includes pretty much everyone listening right now.

Today’s gal pal, Kelly Lutman, offers an approach to eating that’s about something more important and longer-lasting than losing weight. Kelly is an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, founder of Pursue Wellness, and author of “Diet to Edit: Discover Freedom in a New Approach to Food.” I’ve personally learned a lot from Kelly and can tell you that her approach to eating is practical, empowering, and totally designed to give your body the fuel it needs to feel energized and do what you want to do.

In this episode, we talk about:

  • Why fad diets just don’t work
  • How to find freedom with a new approach to food
  • The perfectly portioned dinner plate
  • 5 tips for editing what you eat to help your body be resilient

Here’s a glance:

[3:32] Kelly’s goal is to live with the body she has and to support it to be as effective as possible every day.

[5:16] A Solid Sister, Kelly’s go-to fav color is a pale peach with just a bit of shimmer.

[8:18] How much does what you eat really impact your energy and vitality?

[12:46] Little tweaks can have a big impact on overall health. Kelly experienced this with her own son.

[17:58] Fad diets just don’t work. Kelly explains the difference between diet and edit.

[22:42] Kelly’s top 5 tips for editing our eating to renew our resilience.

[28:28] Improved digestion starts with slowing yourself down.

[31:15] Kelly paints a picture of the perfectly portioned, colorful plate.

[38:28] Edit your liquids to include more hydrating sources that need to be replenished daily.

[40:45] Kelly describes her 5-Day Detox and shares the details for her upcoming spring detox challenge.

[47:06] One Step At A Time is Kelly’s created nail color to inspire us to edit our eating habits and eat the colors of the rainbow.

[51:00] In the Flip the Chip segment, Mary highlights Kelly’s top 5 tips for editing our eating to renew our resilience.
