National Senior Games Association Overview
https://nsga.com/

  • The National Senior Games Association's (NSGA) mission is to promote the benefits of competitive sports, physical fitness and active aging to adults ages 50+.
  • The NSGA is the nonprofit umbrella organization for Senior Games across the United States. The NSGA's Member Organizations represent nearly every state and Canada and host sanctioned competitions in their areas. Local, state and national Senior Games events engage over 100,000 individuals each year.
  • The NSGA also hosts the biennial National Senior Games, which bring together over 11,000 participants ages 50-100+ to compete in more than 25 sports. Athletes must qualify at a State Senior Games in the year before the National Senior Games to participate in most events. This world-class competition celebrates the athletic accomplishments of older adults and inspires people of all ages to be active.
  • The next National Senior Games will be held July 24-August 4, 2025, in Des Moines, Iowa.
  • Senior Games provide the camaraderie and challenge of competitive sports to older adults, promote health and well-being and inspire participants to keep moving.
  • We believe that it’s never too late to get active. Many Senior Games athletes try a sport for the first time in their 50s, 60s, 70s or beyond - and it changes their lives forever.
