1️⃣ You Are The Product: Just as a product manager understands the features and benefits of their product, and what problem it solves, likewise you need to understand your strengths, weaknesses, and the problems you solve AND for whom. Your personal brand really matters!
2️⃣ Know Thy Target Market: Be very intentional about defining your target audience. Understand what they care about, their struggles, what they read, and events they attend, and know where you fit in addressing their needs. It's not about being all things to all people, but the right thing to the right audience.
In part 2 of this 2-part series, I'll cover the importance of reaching out and engaging relationally with your target audience, getting the meeting, and tweaking your plan for sustained success.
