From poverty and hunger to fatherlessness and failure, Edie Wadsworth shares about her first book, a spiritual memoir of her life entitiled, All the Pretty Things--the story of a Southern girl who went through fire to find her way home. In this episode, Edie shares about her childhood in East Tennessee, those people who became lifelines, mentors and stepping stones for her. She unpacks the significance of her journey through medical school, the death of her Father, and the unraveling of her life that followed, including the guilt and shame of her failure--the alcohol, an affair, and a divorce. How therapy and essential oils helped, and ultimately how God meets us in our darkest days and continues to bring His redemption to our most broken places.
