Last week on the show, we heard from Amatus about the history of colonisation and resource extraction in West Papua, and the ongoing struggle for West Papuan freedom. This week, Beri and Amatus give us a bit more context for the current atrocities being committed against West Papuans, and reflect more broadly on the limitations of the nation state as a model for self-determination for Indigenous peoples – from Aceh, to West Papua, to the First Nations of this continent.
