Here's what I know. Focusing on all the things that could go right doesn’t mean you’ll get everything you want, but focusing on what’s wrong is guaranteed to keep you exactly where you are.

That was one of the greatest lessons from this week’s Own YOUR Future Podcast with Jesse Eker. He shared a deeply personal story about his daughter Brooklyn and some challenges they’ve faced since her birth… if you’re a parent this will hit your heart. (and even if you’re not, there’s a lesson there for all of us.)

Jesse and his wife had two choices. They could blame and wonder “Why me? Why her? Why us?” OR they could focus on what they could control. Focus on the positive and realize that a 1% improvement each year may not seem like much, but over time that adds up to something HUGE. You have to hear this story… check it out RIGHT HERE!

So on today’s episode I want to share with you 6 steps to solve BIGGER problems, because mistakes, failures, problems are how we grow.

Stop letting outside influences crush your hopes, dreams, and plans.

Focus on what you have, not what you lost.

Focus on what you can control.

Focus on improving by 1% each day, each week, each month, each year and before you know it’ll add up to something pretty incredible.

Thanks so much for listening to this episode of the Own YOUR Future Podcast. Make sure to share your biggest takeaway with me below and follow the show so you don’t miss a single episode.
