Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to: Explain the clinical signs, symptoms, and medical burden of VOD/SOS to patients preparing for transplantation, Apply team-based approaches to risk assessment and diagnostic confirmation of VOD/SOS, including interpretation of clinical symptoms/disease onset and use of techniques such as ultrasound imaging or other strategies as appropriate, Use modern adverse event severity grading models to determine the presence and severity of organ dysfunction in patients with a VOD/SOS diagnosis, Recommend appropriate team management options for adult and pediatric patients with VOD/SOS in the post-HCT setting.
