Pharmacists are now taking on more responsibilities beyond traditional roles and extending their services into their communities.
Erik Hudson, pharmacy manager of Western Medical Equipment and Drug in Woodward, Oklahoma, not only shares his journey into pharmacy but also addresses what he’s doing to encourage his seven pharmacies, five medical supply locations and over 90 employees to meet their community members where they are: in nonprofits, food banks and long-term care facilities.
For Hudson, being a successful independent pharmacy means getting involved in the communities he serves, and success to him means he’s effectively reaching and treating them.
