Dr. Camilla Moore is a distinguished expert in holistic health, stress management, and burnout. She has 16 years of experience as a doctor of chiropractic and she is a certified clinical instructor for the Stress Management and Resiliency Training (Smart) Program.
Most of us live in a constant state of stress. We are worried about the future, we are afraid of getting fired, we are dreading hard conversations, we are annoyed at traffic, so on and so forth. Living in survival mode (flight or fight response) for an extended period can condition our bodies to become addicted to stress and eventually make us sick.
Dr. Camilla shares her insights about our bodies’ stress responses, their relationship with fear, and why this one is the main stressor in human beings. She also shares applicable techniques to pull ourselves out of survival mode (sympathetic nervous system) and go back to baseline (parasympathetic nervous system)
From reframing stress and changing our brain biochemistry to breaking down concepts like mindfulness and self-awareness into behaviors. This episode encapsulates all you need to know about regulating our bodies in moments of stress and using that energy for things that serve us.
In this episode expect to learn:

  • Relationship between fears and our stress responses
  • How to have a more positive relationship with stress
  • Applicable techniques to regulate our nervous system
  • The importance of developing self-awareness
  • How mindfulness can help stay in the present
  • The power of creating positive physiological responses
  • Plus much more
