Mimi Albert (now Kellogg) shares her experience at the 125th Boston Marathon, and spoiler alert: it was a hard day. We talk about the days before the race, her mindset going into the race, what it was like racing a marathon for the first time since the pandemic, and how quickly the fire to race again returns after she crossed the finish line.

Some highlights from our conversation:

💊 Dealing with a dreaded UTI in the days before the race

🙅‍♀️ Recognizing and rejecting her disordered eating voice

😎 The vibe in Boston pre-race

🏁 The strangeness of the rolling start

🏃‍♀️ Executing her race plan for the first half

💧 Feeling the dehydration hit at mile 16

🔂 Having to take it one 400 meter at a time

💪 Being the most sore she’s ever been post-marathon

👰‍♀️ The challenge of running a race 10 days before her wedding!

🧥 The best and worst Boston Marathon jackets
