"Behind the Mic: The Interludes Journey" traces the evolution of a visionary audio project that began four years ago, on June 26, 2020. Originally launched as an audio podcast, Interludes has grown to include two visual podcasts: "The Pull Up Podcast Show with Coach Tony Thompson" and "Interludes Extra Talk On Tuesdays." Created by Valarie Johnson, now known as Val "The Voice" Johnson, the show has become a platform for exploring new creative avenues. Recently inspired by her experience on the set of "Katti and Mr. Patti," directed by her dear friend and former guest Karla Braithwaite, Val is now shifting towards live recordings. This new direction aims to enhance the raw, unedited connection with listeners. Celebrating its 4th anniversary during Black Music Month and National DJ Month, the release of Val's eBook, "A DJ Saved My Life," marks a pivotal moment in this journey.
