Joe Pug is our guest for the second time. Joe is a revered singer, songwriter, and podcaster from Greenbelt, Maryland. He has been releasing music since 2009’s classic record Nation of Heat, which was about the time his work came into my life when he opened for the legendary Steve Earle. His latest record Sketch of a Promised Departure will be released on March 3, 2024.
The first time we talked was a remote conversation back in 2021. This time we got to sit down with Joe backstage ahead of his show at Tuffy’s Music Box in Sanford, FL. The wonderful songwriter and friend of the show Michael McArthur opened with Josh Davis on guitar. The atmosphere was welcoming and beautiful and I am so grateful to bring you this episode.
