Welcome to the latest edition of the Soul Explosion !! This was first broadcast on 23rd September 2017 on 105.7FM in Ipswich UK and worldwide on www.icrfm.com This week's show is Part 2 of a tribute to Street Sounds Records, responsible for bringing the hottest 80's soul and boogie tunes of the time to the ears of many. Check out part 1 here... https://www.mixcloud.com/ph5ph5/soul-explosion-street-sounds-special-16th-september-2017/ The first Street Sounds release was the first edition of the label's core compilation series, StreetSounds 1 in late 1982. This regular compilation series proclaimed itself 'one hour packs of the latest dance packs'. They were composed of full-length versions of (mainly) black club and urban dance music. The tracks were licenced from the US.
