Taekwondo is a combat sport. In that regards there always exists the potential for a head trauma that could result in a concussion. Both USA Taekwondo and AAU Taekwondo have protocols in place to protect athletes who experience head trauma. The question is: How well does these organizations communicate with each other to protection of sparring athletes? Marc Zirogiannis talks about the protections necessary to potentially circumvent the established Taekwondo concussion protocols.
