Ed Cohen is the author of the book "On Learning to Heal: or, What Medicine Doesn't Know" as well as the founder of healingcouncil.com, a therapeutic practice for people living with chronic and life threatening illness. Additionally he is a professor of women's, gender, and sexuality studies at Rutgers School of Arts and Science.
Ed has been living with Crohn's disease for over 50 years, which led him to thoroughly researching the topic of healing. Ed discusses healing from the perspective of a patient with a chronic illness, and explains the genealogy of the western medical practice, and how it has influenced the process of healing today.
