Motherhood involves a lot of sacrifice, but it can get tricky when we start to gauge our value as humans by the self-denial we express, or how much we suffer for others.

I'm wrestling with this now, and I think this conversation about maintaining mental health and preventing burnout is worthwhile even if you're not a parent, but someone who has a passionate project or mission that is bringing you close to burnout.

And if you're not a mother but a spouse, here are some tangible things you can do to support her in postpartum. Cuz it's really effing hard.
