Should the divorce be legalized in the Philippines? The Divorce Bill has been passed in the House of Representatives and is now in the Senate, but the debate goes on.
DR. BERNARDO VILLEGAS has a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University and is a Certified Public Accountant, having been one of the CPA board topnotchers, a professor at the University of Asia and the Pacific. He was a member of the Constitutional Commission that drafted the Philippine Constitution under the government of the late President Corazon Aquino. In this episode, we talked about his role in drafting the Constitution, the unconstitutionality of attempting to legalize divorce, the hard cases, and of course, the social evils of divorce.
