“By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires. In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone. The more you grow like this, the more productive and useful you will be in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But those who fail to develop in this way are shortsighted or blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their old sins. So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away. Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”

What is the biblical explanation of excellence?
In the Bible, excellence is defined as anything that reflects God’s character and glory. This includes qualities such as righteousness, faithfulness, kindness, humility, love, and joy. These are the qualities that God desires for us to display in our lives. Excellence is also living a life of obedience to God, honoring His Word, and showing respect and reverence for Him. Above all else, excellence according to Scripture is walking in love with one another just as Jesus commanded us (John 13:34).
What is God’s standard of excellence?
God’s standard of excellence is found in His Word, the Bible. According to the Scriptures, excellence involves being and doing what pleases God. This means striving for holiness and purity of heart, soul, and mind, as well as obedience to His laws. Excellence also entails exhibiting godly wisdom and developing a Christ-like love for others. Ultimately, it comes down to living in a way that honors and glorifies God by reflecting God’s excellence through our lives
You:

God is excellent.

God empowers His excellence in you.
God empowers His excellence through you.

You are the wisdom of God.
Be and do the wisdom of God.

To reveal God’s glory is to reveal God’s wisdom.
To reveal God’s wisdom is to reveal God’s excellence.

God is glorified when the wisdom through you can only be explained – but God!
God is glorified when His spirit of excellence is displayed through you.

Commit to NOTHING but God’s excellence.
