This week, Hilaria and Alec Baldwin chat with married couple Jared Harris and Allegra Riggio. Jared is acting royalty. He's a classically trained actor you know from his critically acclaimed roles in Mad Men, The Crown, Lincoln, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, Chernobyl and much more. Allegra is a lighting director, TV host and self-proclaimed karaoke enthusiast. The couple married in 2013 after both coming out of previous toxic relationships.
Jared and Allegra tell the story of their serendipitous first meeting after each had left a rather unhealthy relationship. They discuss how at first, they called each other "misery friends," because they shared negative experiences and wallowed in the pain together. Then, they turned the sadness into laughter and happiness, each effectively healing the other. Now, they're in a long-lasting marriage where they fit together. This is a story of how love and laughter healed wounds and brought on joy and happiness.
