Emmanuel Acho is a former NFL linebacker and broadcaster turned thoughtful commentator on race and bestselling author. After getting drafted by the Cleveland Browns in 2012, Emmanuel joined the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles before retiring in 2015. He went on to become an analyst for Longhorn Network and ESPN2’s college football programming before joining Fox Sports to co-host the afternoon studio show “Speak for Yourself."

In 2020, Emmanuel launched his YouTube series “Uncomfortable Conversations With a Black Man" and released a book of the same title. His newest book, “Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Boy," is also out now.

In this conversation, Emmanuel talks about the impetus for his "Uncomfortable Conversation" series. He discusses how we all need to work at trying to understand each other better—plus, the importance of immersing ourselves in each other's cultures. It's a thought-provoking discussion about empathy and tolerance.
