This is my first conversation with 2 authors at the same time, and it's fascinating - we get to hear a comparison between 2 people's approaches to their writing, which is really interesting.
Harriet Tyce was born and grew up in Edinburgh. She graduated in English from Oxford University in 1994, and after gaining legal qualifications worked as a criminal barrister for nearly ten years. After leaving the law she started writing, gaining a distinction in an MA in Creative Writing (Crime Fiction) from the University of East Anglia in 2017.
Harriet has written four novels, Blood Orange, The Lies You Told, It Ends At Midnight and A Lesson in Cruelty which will be published on 11 April 2024. She lives in north London with her husband, children, and two dogs.
Harriet's new book A Lesson In Cruelty will be published on 11 April 2024.

Trevor Woods’s first novel, The Man on the Street, set in Newcastle’s homeless community, won the Crime Writers’ Association’s New Blood Dagger. It was followed by One Way Street and Dead End Street. His fourth book, You Can Run, a standalone thriller set in Northumberland was published this year.

Trevor teaches the Faber Academy’s Crime Writing Course, is a founder member of the Northern Crime Syndicate and is a volunteer chef at the People’s Kitchen, a charity that provides hot meals for around 300 people every day.
You Can Run is a fast-paced, propulsive thriller about a group of armed mercenaries laying siege to a remote village in search of a young girl. They think it’s an easy job but have reckoned without the elderly villagers who don’t take kindly to outsiders. ‘The Thursday Murder Club meets Reservoir Dogs’
