From the early days of psychotherapy there have been differing beliefs on what approach offers the best support for clients seeking help. While the Modalities themselves differ from the early days of Psychotherapy, the argument remains. But why do we have to choose? Ray and Paul are tasked with understanding what separates out each of these modalities, as well as the similarities they hold. They distinguish the framework that each theory holds and look at what fundamental beliefs they operate from. Then they reverse course and look at how each, in their own way, can effectively support clients and what unites them all.
