Sirens, Slammers and Service- Season 2, Episode 6 - Wildfire Fire Fighting with Kris and Kendra
Manage episode 429198158 series 3586627
This episode has not ONE but TWO amazing female first responders, Kris and Kendra! Both bad asses were previously Wildfire Fire Fighters based out of Fort McMurray and were there during the devastating fire in 2016.
We chat the recruitment process and grueling physical fitness test that is required to be hired on as a wildfire fire fighter as well as how you need to "embrace the suck" sometimes during this dirty, sweaty and hard working job!
These ladies have some great stories -- did someone say PIZZA delivery via helicopter-- and share some great tips on how to fuel up during shifts and what equipment is the most fun to use.
