Beat*Shot Radio Takeover airs live on beatshotradio.com every Tuesday night at 9PM EST. Discussion topics include:

★Special Guest: Producer/rapper/activist/afro-aficionado Don Fons tells us his origin story and what he’s been up to since crushing the #2016BSMF stage.
★Split DNCision: A recap of last night’s kick off of the Democratic National Convention. We discuss the lows and the lower lows, and explore what party unity looks like in the wake of a party divided.
★San Diego Comic-Con: This year’s Comic-Con arrived with a slew of movie trailers dictating where we’ll be spending all of our cash next summer. We discuss. #JusticeLeague #SuicideSquad #TheKillingJoke #BlackPanther #LukeCage
★Dee Whigham #SayHerName: Four days ago Dee Whigham was stabbed to death by a 20 year old Black Navy seaman. She is the 16th reported trans women murdered so far in 2016. We #SayHerName and once again discuss the consequences of toxic/fragile masculinity.
★Personal Foul: This week, Michael Jordan waded waist deep into the national discussion of Black people being killed by the police. Unfortunately he followed in the footsteps of many athletes and celebrities trying to play both sides of the court. We discuss.
★Things Remembered: We discuss the way cell phones have changed our capacity to memorize information, and test our own brains with a memory quiz.
★”Why Did You Shoot Me?”: We examine the case of #CharlesKinsey, a behavioral therapist shot by police with his hands up, while caring for an autistic client.
