This narrative is a cornerstone for women and men alike, seeking redemption, solace and strength in the Lord as we navigate life's complexities. We meet Jesus at Simon the Pharisee’s house for a meal, when an unnamed woman (in this account) enters the scene. This woman not only anoints the Lord with a jar of expensive perfume oil, but she also receives His forgiveness as she is considered an immoral woman in the community. Through this story, we are reminded that no matter our shortcomings, failures or past sins, there is forgiveness at the feet of the Master, when we submit with our whole heart. It is our hope that this episode will become the catalyst that invites you to the place of forgiveness, releasing past hurts and people who wronged you, and asking the Lord to work on those parts of your heart that need to be filled with His love.
