This week’s guest on “A Trauma Survivor Thriver’s Podcast” is Dr. Layla Salek, Author of “Chaos in Colors,” who has synesthesia, a condition in which she sees people in color, which later inspired her book. Her book talks about her childhood raised by a single mother living with untreated bipolar disorder. Layla also struggled with social anxiety after having her daughter, which prompted her healing journey. Layla shares her story of healing and forgiveness. She emphasizes the importance of being present and getting out of one's head, as well as the need to forgive in order to let go of past trauma.
