Welcome to the Foreign-Born Mama podcast!
As foreign-born moms, we might be misunderstood and underrepresented group in the countries we now call home. We might be perceived as too much, too emotional, too needy by our family members or local friends. We might be struggling with anxiety, anger, indecision and depression thinking that there is something wrong with us and without knowing that we are carrying unresolved childhood traumas. We might be feeling powerless, alone and lost in our motherhood journey, because our immigrant stories are not reflected in our adopted cultures to guide us and we have limited access to communities where we can feel that we belong.
This podcast aims to bring the stories of foreign-born moms (including my own) and ignite meaningful conversations with thought leaders to discuss why we may be struggling and what we can do to seek change.
My mission is to help us to evolve into more conscious moms by increasing our self-awareness, shifting our mindsets, shedding old patterns and dismantling limiting beliefs that may be holding us back from living fully and parenting authentically.
