In this week’s episode of Blogosphere: Serious Influence, Alice Audley (Blogosphere’s founder) speaks to Paul Sampson, who is the co-founder and CEO of music licensing platform Lickd.

Paul has worked in the music industry for 14 years in all sorts of roles, and thus has a key knowledge of its licensing intricacies. He stumbled across the world of influencers four years ago and saw the challenges they faced accessing good music for their content, without getting copyright claims against them. He connected the dots, and Lickd was born.

Paul discusses his entrepreneurial journey, the challenges in getting the music industry to adopt new routes to market, how content id and copyright claims work... and also explains Article 13 and what it means for platforms and influencers.
