Kicking off this series on postpartum I had the pleasure of having a great conversation with Marcus and Nicole Wooden about their journey with postpartum as individuals and a married couple. Their story is nothing short of inspiring, educational, eye-opening, and insightful.

Author, speaker, and parent coach, Nicole Woodcox Bolden, LCSW @thrivingwithbabychicago has over 17 years of experience supporting parents in raising healthy children without losing themselves. With the mission to assist mothers managing postpartum depression & anxiety, Nicole's journal entitled, Mama’s Mind Matters, and a book entitled, Uncover Your Light, helps women slow down for a cou ofple minutes a day to have an intentional pause to think about themselves. Speaking on the national stage on topics such as Postpartum mental health, managing anxiety & societal norms, parent re-entry into the workplace, and navigating marriage goals & expectations in parenthood. Nicole aims to empower, educate, inform, and truly hold space for parents/caregivers.

Marcus has been an advocate for social justice issues relating to health disparities and the well-being of underserved populations.
