Patch's musical odyssey began with a BFA Honours, specializing in Music, at York University, followed by extensive training at esteemed institutions such as Pro Actors Lab, The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York, and Canada’s Music Incubator. His passion for continuous learning led him back to York University, where he earned an MA in Musicology, an MBA, and a Graduate Diploma in Arts, Media & Entertainment Management.

As a dedicated advocate for innovation in the music industry, Patch serves as the ambassador and organizer in Canada for Mycelia for Music, the non-profit launched by the visionary Imogen Heap. His expertise extends to roles as a project lead for London-based start-up JAAK, focusing on research and solutions for music rights management.

Patch wears multiple hats, contributing to the industry as a consultant, artist manager, music reviewer, and educator. His active involvement in professional associations, workshops, international festivals, and conferences, notably through Music Managers Forum Canada, CIMA, and Music Ontario, showcases his commitment to fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing. Additionally, Patch serves as a juror for FACTOR grant applications and holds the title of Friend of The Canadian Guild of Music Supervisors.

In 2021, Patch added a Certificate in Entertainment Law from Osgoode PD to his list of accomplishments, showcasing his dedication to staying at the forefront of industry trends. As a LiVE Diversity Expert Panel Member, Saskhia's multifaceted role encompasses being a multi award-winning equality and diversity ambassador, researcher, public speaker, mentor, artist, and social change activist.

Saskhia is deeply committed to reshaping the music industry landscape, striving for improved representation, equity, and inclusion. Drawing on over a decade of experience in the music industry, she passionately educates and enlightens others about the issues and barriers faced by underrepresented groups. As a multi-racial trans woman who transitioned 12 years ago, Saskhia brings a unique perspective to her advocacy efforts.

In addition to her impactful work, Saskhia is a devoted parent of two children and is currently in the process of creating brand-new tracks set for release in 2024. Her commitment to academic excellence is evident as she prepares to undertake a PhD in gender equality in music, with a primary focus on trans and non-binary inclusion. She recently completed her MA in Music Marketing in 2021, building upon a musical education that began at the age of 8.
