In this episode, we discuss how to make a relationship work when you love your partner, but their parents disapprove because you are from a different religion or culture. I answer a question from a listener who is struggling after a break up. Her and her ex broke up because his family did not approve of her because she is from a different culture. They have struggled to communicate about the problem and now she wants to know if she should wait for him or if it’s time to move on. My intention for this episode is to help you to learn how to navigate familial relationships when you are both from different cultures, backgrounds, and religions, learn to communicate effectively, and how to confidently decide what is best for you, waiting for your ex or moving on.
