Being a personal trainer in the city I’ve been exposed to many different fitness theories and beliefs. One of them I can remember for the longest time was that breathing with your belly out was the correct way to breathe effectively. There are even programs for, “Belly Breathing Like a Pro.” Well Mike Zhoa is going to go into the intricate details of why this is bogus. He’s a specialist in PRI or Postural Restoration Institute which is redefining how physical therapists think and work. He’ll break belly breathing down physically, mentally, hormonally, you name it you’re going to learn really how your torso works and why breathing with the belly out is not only not the way to breathe, but how it can be physically and mentally detrimental. We’ll finish with some tips on how you can breathe better. Get ready, we’re going to drop some knowledge bombs.
