E50: Constitutional Cliff Notes
Manage episode 372363424 series 3372488
Remember back in April when Garet asked Katie about the "girl meat" case? Well, for our 50th episode, Katie is teaching us all about thought crimes! That's right - it's the case of the Cannibal Cop Gilberto Valle himself. Valle was charged with conspiracy to commit kidnapping and was caught by his own wife sharing pictures of her and her friends with people found on fetish porn websites along with emails detailing what they wanted to do to the women - including rape, torture, cooking, and eating them. Valle also accessed the NYPD's crime victim's database and obtained contact information for his alleged future victims - but the sticking point is - he never actually tried to follow through on these plans...so is googling stuff a crime? The ladies "flesh" that out this week in an episode that leaves us wondering if we should be better about using incognito tabs.
