Welcome to the Broken Sparrows podcast. This is my most raw, real, vulnerable podcast episode yet in which I discuss mental illness. How tough it is for those of us whose brains don't work correctly. It's upsetting to realize that our minds--that most precious and personal part of our human bodies--isn't functioning the way we know it should. There is great stigma around mental illness and those of us who suffer from depression, anxiety, paranoia, or self-depreciating thoughts. Especially as Christians, we might feel we should have it all together. Yet can I share with you a very powerful scene in the Bible that shows us the true purpose and meaning of faith, and what it means to have hope that the Lord knows us, He loves us, and we are safe in Him!
