Narcissists, even if they are believers, do not understand Atonement and use everyone else around them as their own personal Jesus to expiate their pain, suffering, and unmet emotional needs.

If you have been the scapegoat of someone else's emotional problems, while at the same time being taught at church that The Savior is the one who took upon Himself our pains and afflictions, you might be dealing with some confusion.
