Chloë Goodchild in conversation with innovator, educator, author & speaker, Matt Hart, discussing eldership, innovation, creativity, BIFKiDS, leadership, ego and much more.
The VOCE Dialogues offer a simple, accessible in-depth ground for poets, authors, musicians, visual artists, and visionary teachers to share and disseminate their insights about the transformative practice of contemplative, creative and compassionate communication.
Matt Hart is a 6ft2ish, straight talking, t-shirt & jeans wearing, business/social/ environmentally responsible, surfing, laid back, coffee loving kiwi with 20+ years galvanising ‘creative humans’ within global corporates and beyond.
In Enterprise, he is best known for pioneering a new approach for Brand and Fan Innovation - understanding what makes people fans of the world’s leading brands. Having added hundreds of millions of new fans for diverse clients from BBC, Cisco and Spotify, to American Idol, Warner Music and Unicef, his works now use the Sustainable Development Goals to help make fans of world changing brands.
Becoming a husband and father had a huge impact on Matt. This together with his love of the natural world - and the urgent threats of the heating climate - inspired him to translate his deep knowledge of business and brand innovation into next-gen creative problem-solving education resources and experiences for kids, teens and schools. He’s developed BIFKiDS to nurture little people’s idea superhero powers and nurture their creativity; he’s launched Ideas Schools to teach confident creative teachers who can facilitate creative problem experiences in classrooms; he’s developing a teens ‘edutainment’ program to entertain and educate next-gen problem solvers; he’s authored picture books for kids, Parenting guides for carers and Fandom for business.
At heart, Matt’s a maverick. His mission is to democratise the thinking, doing and being creative because he knows the power of creativity can solve our global problems, and unleash people’s true talents, purpose and passions.
“I overcame personal troubles in my youth through being told that I could create the life I wanted by walking to the beat of my own drum - it transformed my life - so much that my resulting global work is informed by my belief that creativity provides the permission, validation, care, and love for us to keep to our individual beat - it’s critically important for our times, for that way goes the best of ideas; our own best self - and from there, anything’s possible"
